Young Artist for Haiti- Wavin' Flag

Young Artists for Haiti is a movement to engage Canada's young musicians to continue to inspire an ongoing effort and contribution to Canadian charities for their work to help the people of Haiti overcome the devastation from the 7.0 magnitude earthquake that rocked the country on January 12, 2010. More than 50 of Canada's best and brightest artists gathered at The Warehouse Studio in Vancouver, British Columbia to record a rendition of renowned hip hop artist K'naan's "Wavin' Flag".
Produced by Canadian icon, Bob Ezrin, the song was reworked to include specific lyrics for Haiti and was released on March 12, 2010 with proceeds going to Free the Children, War Child Canada and World Vision Canada. It's a fun video to watch so you can pick out the CANADIAN artists. Have fun and enjoy.

.. ~* iPad *~..

The best way to see the web, email, photos, and video. Hands down. (Apple)

The iPad is a tablet computer designed and marketed by Apple, meant for internet browsing, media consumption, gaming, and light content creation. Unlike many older tablets, it uses fingertips for input instead of a stylus. Released in April 2010, it introduced a class of devices between smartphones and laptops.

Like the older iPod Touch and iPhone devices, the larger iPad runs the iPhone OS and uses amulti-touch LCD for most user interactions. It runs iPad-specific applications as well as those written for the iPhone and iPod touch, including e-book readers.

The iPad uses WiFi or Wireless WAN to browse the Internet, load and stream media, and install software.

Happy Birthday Earth ♥

Earth Day is a day designed to inspire awareness and appreciation for the Earth's environment. It was founded by U.S. Senator Gaylord Nelson as an environmental teach-in held on April 22, 1970. Earth Day is celebrated in spring in the Northern Hemisphere and autumn in the Southern Hemisphere. Many communities celebrate Earth Week, an entire week of activities focused on environmental issues. The first Earth Week originated in Philadelphia in 1970 (starting April 16 and culminating on Earth Day, April 22). Earth Day Network, a group that wishes to become the coordinator of Earth Day globally, asserts that Earth Day is now observed on April 22 on virtually every country on Earth. What you do on this day is up to you but make sure you think of the planet :)

Here are some things that we can all do to make our world more green, we’ve all heard them before, but we can all use a reminder. These are just a few suggestions to get you started on a more green path.

  • Replace all the bulbs in your house with energy savings one. Energy savings bulbs will save you upto 70% in utility bills and at the same time help out to make world greener by using less electricity.
  • Unplug appliances which are not in use. Even some of the chargers like your laptop charger, consumes some energy while plugged in to outlet even when there is nothing is plugged in the other side. That home entertainment system or just a cable box you have sitting around, consumes energy. All this could add up to significant $$’s.
  • Use less paper! Opt in for online statements. This alone will save a lot of paper and in turn will protect the trees!
  • Paper or plastic? ALWAYS pick paper. Plastic bags are hard to recycle.
  • If you live close to stores, work or any other destinations, walk there instead of driving. You save on some pollution and at the same time it’s good exercise. We really don’t walk enough in this country!
  • Use a programmable thermometer so you don’t have to keep the heat or air conditioning running while your not even home. Keep it at 68-69 in the winter time, and 75 or higher in the summer time.
